Staff Introduction # 9 Hello! My name is Debbie Swain and I have recently joined the CWR team as a part time receptionist. I have been retired for 5 years and although I enjoy retired life along with having 11 grandchildren I strongly believe that staying involved with work life has a big impact on keeping us young! I have an extensive administrative background in both nuclear manufacturing and medicine. I enjoy helping people! I completed my advanced diploma in Massage Therapy in 2014 at Centennial College. During my tenure as an RMT, I have worked in a variety of settings including resort spas, post secondary institutions as well as clinical settings, lending to exposure to a wide variety of conditions and ailments and clientele of... all age ranges. I derive the greatest satisfaction when improvements are made from the combined efforts of the therapist and the client and when my clients come away with a better sense of self awareness. I can provide massage to aid in pain reduction, restoring impaired range of motion, anxiety and stress, prenatal/postnatal stages, digestive disorders and to those just looking to decompress and relax after a hard day. The benefits of massage are numerous and far ranging. I appreciate the opportunity to be part of the wellness regime at CWR. Prior to that I graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2014 with a degree in Kinesiology. As a Registered Massage Therapist I have worked with diverse clientele, treating different injuries, a...ilments, and those with different treatment goals. As a therapist, my knowledge and athletic experience helps me provide my clients with a thorough treatment while also being able to modify my techniques based on my client's needs and comfort.
