Friends! We at Pender Chocolates have been overwhelmed and so grateful of all your support since the world got weird in March. We *literally* could not stay open without you!... Thank you for being flexible as we have moved to a take out window and for still coming seeking chocolate, with your big smiles (or eye crinkles under your masks!) We are going to have to stay with our take out window through the winter. We are dealing with changes to our personal schedules as we figure out our new reality in a pandemic with a medically compromised family member. In saying this, we are taking a month off! Sept 6th is our LAST day open until Thanksgiving! Then we will OPEN again at Thanksgiving!! Please come get'yer chocolates while ya can! Ryan and I (Amanda) would love to extend our heart-ful thanks and love to our community businesses on Pender Island. They have picked up supplies for us when we could not go to town. They supported us buying letting us sell at their establishments or by buying chocolate on such a consistent basis. When we started a business on Pender, we weren't sure if other existing businesses would see us as competition but we have had only kindness and support.... Thank you to Tru Value, the Post office, Slow coast, The Liquor Store, El Faros, Jo's place, Talisman, Southridge, The Woods, Twin Island Cider, the Pharmacy, the Chamber of Commerce, the Hardware store, Raven Rock Farm, Avondale Farm, Gulf Islands Gourmet, SLOW COAST and our lovely neighbours at Ptarmigan, for raising us up, and helping our spirits and our shop itself stay open! If I've missed your name, I blame it entirely on the gin and tonic previously drank. Thank you too.
