Thank you to the captains and crew of the dozen beautifully decorated boats that participated in the Pender Harbour Christmas Boat Parade 2020. The weather was perfect and even the moon showed up!.

Due to the bad weather, the Christmas Boat Parade has been postponed till tomorrow Sunday 20th. Boats gather at 5:30pm and the annual Christmas Boat Parade starts ay 6pm. Expect to have your water cut off on saturday morning if you live in some areas of Madeira Park. See map below. A 200mm diameter water gate valve needs to be installed in the water main at the Lagoon Road and Francis Peninsula Road intersection for future expansion needs, to maintain emergency flows and for line maintenance purposes. Scheduled date of installation December 19, 2020 Water outage expected between 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM... The water main is expected to be exposed by 9:00am and the water mains will be shut off for the valve installation. Water outage during this period is to be expected for the area identified in map. Well, I’ll call that a mostly-success! It even balanced! This is a funky small art batt that I plied with purple crochet cotton. Only a few curlicues didn’t com...e out in the plying, but not enough to detract from the whole arty experience. I tried not to over-ply since I didn’t adjust the twist in the crochet cotton, so it has a nice spiral look to it. I think I’ll do this again, maybe when I go to FibreWorks Studio & Gallery later this month for my weekend artist-in-residency! Meanwhile, this skein is headed there for sale, hopefully to grace someone’s artistic project! See more
