As the world returns to normal, we can’t go back to business-as-usual. Watch the #EarthDay live digital event starting today at 9am PT (12pm ET) and discover how together we can prevent the coming disasters of climate change and environmental destruction. #restoreourearth #carpooling
Spotted in #Squamish, BC. We love to see how people switching to EV are getting creative with their licence plates, and can't wait to see more eco-friendly cars on the road in the next few years. Happy Friday everyone!
We love the flexibility of working at The Common #coworkingspace in #squamish...and we love the view from the outdoor patio!
Tonight is the #EarthHour Virtual Spotlight. Remember to switch off your lights at 8:30pm and help us make this the most watched video in the world!
We our members! I used your App early last year when I was travelling in Canada[and] met amazing people on the road. Thank you for your platform, it truly added some good memories and experiences to my life. --Agness Etramping on IG from #calgary to #lakelouise The Lake Louise Ski Resort & Summer Gondola Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise

We know that wearing masks for several hours on a trip isn't super comfortable, but it's really important to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. This is a friendly reminder that masks are required for all travel on Poparide, for both drivers and passengers. Wearing masks really helps keep everyone safe and comfortable during a trip. Other safety protocols when in the car include keeping windows a bit open (if it's not too cold outside), sanitizing your hands before and after ...your ride, and refraining from travelling if you are feeling sick (we will give you a full refund). We will get through this if we all work together, and we really appreciate your support and understanding during these difficult times. You can find all our travel guidelines at https://support.poparide.com//360040860131-Guidelines-poli
Hi everyone, as we are now well into the second wave of Covid-19 infections in Canada, some regions have put in restrictions for travel, so here's a quick update: In British Columbia, travel is restricted to "essential" to and from Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland. In Quebec, travel is restricted to and from the Red and Orange zones, including Montreal and Quebec city... In Ontario & Alberta, there are currently no travel restrictions. Click on our help article below for more information, and for links to the various relevant provincial bodies. Stay safe, and make sure that you follow all provided government guidelines. https://support.poparide.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040860131
As provinces reopen and we start to travel again, it's important to follow recommendations of health authorities to keep everyone safe. 1. Only travel if you do not have symptoms of covid-19 2. Wear a mask in the car (non-medical OK) 3. Ensure good airflow by keeping windows slightly open... 4. Avoid handshakes or physical contact with other members For more information, visit our help article at https://support.poparide.com//360040860131-Guidelines-poli

Wow, it's already Thanksgiving! If you're cleaning those leaves off your car and hitting the road this weekend, consider offering one or two seats to fellow passengers, as many will be looking for a way to travel back to their families. Of course, follow safety guidelines and make sure to only travel if you are not sick, and wear a mask at all times inside the vehicle.... Stay safe everyone :)

Usually at this time of year we gather at Sunset Beach in Vancouver to celebrate Pride and support universal human rights for everyone, but this year is a bit special, as we can't be close to one another. We'd like to take the opportunity today to celebrate the diversity of our members and say how proud we are that you are leading the way to a more inclusive and forward-thinking society. Happy pride month everyone, and we hope to see you all in person soon!
In our series of Canadian ferry crossings, the "traversier" from Baie Saite-Catherine to Tadoussac, where the Saguenay fjord meets the St-Lawrence river and whales love to feed!
Happy BC day everyone! We hope you spent it in a beautiful part of the province (there are many, like this picture taken by one of our members in Montague Habour on Galiano Island) and in good company :)
Summer is in full swing and it's a good time to explore local especially when the views look like this. Can you name this ferry crossing?
Canada, today we admire your natural beauty and immense cultural diversity, which we witness every day through the stories we collect from our members across the country. Please join us in recognizing the challenges ahead and how we can all work together to build a more just and equitable society, based on mutual respect and empathy. Let’s celebrate how far we’ve come and remember how much further we have to go. ... Happy Canada Day
It's official: BC has entered Phase 3 of reopening and lifted non-essential travel restrictions! This means you are now allowed to travel on Poparide within BC, all the while following the safety guidelines issued by the provincial government at https://bit.ly/2Z4jDeV. Thank you all for coming together to flatten the curve of covid-19 in BC and getting us to this point so quickly. ... We can't wait to see you on the road this Summer, and for other provinces to reopen soon!
