Are you ready for Halloween next week? The Immigrant Centre Pre-Arrival Centre will host four webinars that will take away your frights and help you prepare to settle in Manitoba. These webinars are free of charge and available to anyone with a federal permanent residence application in process: - On Monday Oct. 29, Tim St. Vincent of The Credit Counselling Society | nomoredebts.org will present the first part of their webinar, The Truth about Credit; join us to learn about ...keeping a good credit score in Canada. - On Tuesday Oct. 30 we will present the third part of our webinar about Financial Services in Manitoba - sign up to learn how to send your funds to Canada, and to send money back to your home country once you are here. - On Wednesday Oct. 31, Malou Josue of the Winnipeg School Division will explain the Manitoban school system; join us to learn how to register your children and how schools work in Canada. - On Friday Nov. 2, Cary Tardi of Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology will talk about Skilled Trades Programs in Manitoba. On Wednesday, October 24th, Reem Abdulkader of Mosaic - Newcomer Family Resource Network will present the second part of her webinar about parenting in a new country. On Thursday, October 25th, we will host an original IC-PAC webinar in French about job search ...for future francophone newcomers. Finally, on Friday, October 26th, Winnipeg Public Library outreach librarians Mauri Rosenstock and Chris Laurie will explain all the FREE available resources at the Library, including materials to learn English or French, and to conduct a job search.
