Great announcement today in Ontario to ban some plastic use, no enough but its a start...part of the problem might be just pondering about a suitable sustainable solution might not be enough. Everyone needs to be aware that there is a HUGE problem and to act themselves. You don't think it is that bad? All kidding aside we are very likely have a great chance for us or our ancestors to die if we don't tackle this problem. Why? Because microplastics have entered our food chain, wake up do some research, heads up, it will scare you.

What you do matters

You say you don't know anything about everyone having a huge plastic problem"...well know this, this video shows a very very very very small fraction of the plastic waste out in the ocean. In fact the "Ocean Plastic Patch is estimated to be 700 000 square Kilometers!!!! (it is in relation of 1:1 to the size of Texas) and that is just the patch, never mind the waves near some coastlines as in the video (Dominican Republic). To put this further in perspective it takes about 1...1 hours to drive through Texas if you don't stop, from North to South. The large quantity of the debris is however in such small particles or spread out that it is not detectible by satellite imagery and is being ingested by fish which mistake it for food. Let us all bind together and attack this problem, join our group and Precious Plastic and the awareness in millions of people may soon cause changes. We will soon need funding assistance or physical help to manufacture our current (relatively) small scale machines and projects viable and to cause awareness in order to test and recycle locally with the intend to scale this up much much larger and make a big dent in this problem, stay tuned...
