A little bit of kindness goes a long way. I want to thank Vanessa Call The Chef for donating a special meal kit for the youth at Ohana Landing to celebrate Mother’s Day and to Paulina's Flower Shoppe for donating flowers to the two mothers in our building. You really made their day!

Every day is a new adventure and every call for service has a story. I was called out to the 402 for a disabled motor home that was in-transit to Quebec. Once... on scene, the customer conveniently had his own car "in tow" behind the RV. We hookup, pull a drive shaft and are on our way to the shop......... until the customers car then breaks-down at the next interchange on the highway... With a quick call to Gary, it was determined I could reattach the car to the RV as it was when I arrived on scene and make our way to the shop. The customer was so impressed with how the entire Preferred Towing Sarnia team and the Ontario Provincial Police - West Region worked with him to ensure he was taken care of, his vehicles were taken to the shop and we worked with his company in the USA to ensure everything was handled correctly. He couldn't thank all of us (Dispatch, Office Mngt. Myself, Our mechanic, etc.) enough for going the extra mile to help him. "Even your State Troopers are so friendly here!!" It's just one of the calls that leaves you feeling good that your service made a difference for someone that was having a tough day!

I would have lost the bet on this one!! There's NO WAY I would have believed that Preferred Towing Sarnia could deliver our shed on a 53 foot trailer with a sli...ding axel. Only with the incredible expertise of Kyle, the driver, and Brian Moore excellently guiding ....our pigeon or chicken coop is ready for renos....and that started with Brian putting a pivot under the middle and 4 of us including Landon turning it perfectly "on a dime" 1 quarter turn to put the door on the right side. BRILLIANT SCHEME BRIAN. I would definitely recommend Preffered Towing for expert towing and finaggling!!!! See more

Jesce was a very happy young man when he went to his mailbox and discovered a package from Gary and Collin from Preferred Towing. We understand he is a big fan of Heavy Rescue 401 and were delighted to send him a signed poster and one of our newly designed shirts with the new rotator on the back. I think he was one of the firsts to get this new design! Jesce you have been very brave and we want to send our wishes for a speedy recovery.

No matter what time of year it is you will always find a poppy in my truck. The sacrifices made by the brave men and women throughout the years is something I honour all year. I was fortunate enough to go on a tour of some of the most famous battlefields from world war 1 and 2. To stand in those places (now in peace) was a very surreal feeling. The sounds of battle still echo through time even though there isn't a sound aside from birds singing and waves crashing. Today we honour all of those who served and are still serving. Thank you for your dedication to freedom and peace. We will forever be in your debt. -Collin

Yesterday we celebrated Heather Bernardo. It was her 10th anniversary with Preferred Towing. Heather started working for us just before Snowmaggeden hit and was still in training. We knew that if that storm didn’t scare her away, she would be with us for a while. If you have ever called our office you would have spoken to Heather. She is great with customers, even the not so nice ones, and can often be heard laughing with the person on the other end of the phone. She stands 4 foot nothing but can be a force to reckon with ( ask our guys, they will tell you!). Yesterday we celebrated you Heather for all that you do here at Preferred Towing. We are happy to celebrate this milestone with you. Congratulations!

Just wanted to send a great big shout out to my garden fairies. They helped me plant over 100 bulbs at Ohana Landing on Wednesday. Thank you so much Dorothy, Julie, Cassie and Kailyn-you made this task quicker and a whole lot more fun! I have said it before and I will say it again, you rock!!

We want to wish Mark Colbran best wishes and good luck in his new venture. Mark worked with us for the last 7 years as a heavy duty operator. We celebrated his last day with lunch catered in by Gourmet Cafe and Catering and a large donut cake from Global Donuts because he loves donuts! Lol! Sorry no pictures-food was so good we all forgot to take pictures!

We are going to be creating a Heavy Rescue 401 Preferred Towing calendar to be used as a fundraiser for Ohana Landing (our housing project for homeless youth). COVID had put a damper on our regular fundraising streams so we thought we could get creative with a calendar to help raise funds. Calendars will be on sale for $40 plus tax, shipping included. We will have one prize draw for each month so not onl...y do you get to feel good about donating to a great cause but you get a chance to win some prizes! If that isn't a win win, I don't know what is! We are trying to gage how many we need to order so if you are interested please email Carol at [email protected] to get you set up on a pre-order. I am thankful everyday for my family, friends our health and success. Today, as we celebrate Thanksgiving, I am especially grateful and thankful for those who support our housing for homeless youth project. The youth at Ohana Landing are also very thankful to those who go out of their way to be kind and generous. They are doing well and I am thankful for that. Some special mentions today are Matt Porter and Tim Dyson who have gathered together a $200 donation for Ohana Landin...g and to Dorothy who is always thinking of the youth during the holidays and made some tarts for them to enjoy. I am also thankful for the connections I have made with youth I have worked with in the past, who now, as successful adults, have reached out to me to support the youth at Ohana Landing.
