A great day at the Ancaster Fall Classic. Spatz Premier Amelia was 1st Mature Cow & Reserve Grand & Senior Champion. Frankstyle Karobert Joel Allie was 1st Senior 2yr old and pulled out for Intermediate Champion. Amelia is owned with Agriber and Allie is owned with Agriber & Beckridge.

Edgelea Gentry Sharon VG-89 was 1st prize Senior 3yr old at the Fall Show. This incredible young cow comes from a great cow family. Her amazing dam Edgelea Tequila Sheraton was National Grand Champion at the All American Jersey Show in 2019 for Budjon Farms and David Jordan. Both Sharon & Sheraton are bred by Joel Bagg and Sharon is owned with Joel Bagg.

We all know that The Royal is about the cows and the people. Today would of been the first full day at the 2020 Royal. We all miss being there and hope that we will be back in 2021. My first post is all about the the cow, Florbil Doorman Lilly and the people behind her.

An exciting future with the great young heifers and cows exhibited at the Fall Invitational Show. We started off with an exciting day in the Jersey show with two first placings and a 3rd in the strong mature class. Today's feature is Frankstyle Karobert Joel Allie. Allie was 1st Senior 2yr old, Reserve Intermediate Champion and Hon. Mention Grand Champion. Owned with Agriber & Beckridge. Happy Thanksgiving!

A great way to end the week with a revisit for 8 head by Holstein Canada classifiers. We had three 2yr olds max out at 87 points, with 14 VG-2yr olds out of 15 scored! Total score 14 VG-2yr olds, 1 GP-84 2yr old, 2 VG-89 2nd calf, 3 VG-88 2nd calvers, 3 VG-87 2nd calvers, 3 new Excellents, EX-94 Jersey, and 9 Multiple E cows.

Judges are trained to pay close attention to the major type traits including mammary system and feet & legs when analyzing and comparing cows. One trait that you can’t find on a classification scorecard in any country, is style and general appearance. If it was included in Canada, Lilly would get the maximum score! If you’ve ever had the chance to see her in the showring you know that she epitomizes the phrase ‘Love at first sight’ because when she walks into a ring, all eyes fall on her. Her only son by Dempsey, 0200HO11974 Quality Lasvegas, is +13 Conf/+2.34 PTAT and at Semex! Unfortunately Lasvegas is unavailable in Canada and Western Europe.

It doesn’t matter what type of management system that you utilize on your farm, good mobility is one the most essential type traits a dairy cow can possess. Doorman Lilly is classified 95 points in her near perfect foot and leg structure and has been often recognized as one the most free moving show cows of this generation. Fizz is a second calver miking over 45kgs/day and is projected to 12,284 4.2% 518 3.3% 401 261 298 266. Fizz is from a VG Bradnick, then an EX-93 Goldwyn from Quality BC Frantisco EX-96. Another great uddered young cow being offered at the Winright Fill Up for Fall sale this Thursday at Winright Farms. Quality Undenied Fofo is fresh the middle of July, milking close to 40kgs a day with an amazing projection of 279 290 258. From the heart of the Frantisco family, her mother classified 87 pints as a 2yr old and is recently fresh and looks amazing.
