At RCC we believe in nurturing youth with a guiding hand from our senior players. Tyler Herft being welcomed by Gael Howard and Sanjeet Sadana for his elite team debut. Proud moment for Herft family. ( Uncle and Damian were in the playing XI too) Tyler is also hands down winner for the best catch of the season. I bet that catch is still fresh in the memory of everyone who was lucky enough to see it. Congratulations to Pakcan cricket club for winning the Elite Championship. What a game!! Batting first Pakcan made an imposing total of 289. They had got off to a slow start but Umer Kahliq steadied the ship with a well-made hundred. Pick of our bowlers were Asad Rehman and swing wizard Gurvinder Virk. Oh boy Guri has been a revelation in the latter half of the season. RCC had a dream start with our captain Mandeep Rehan leading from the front. He was matched stroke to stroke... by our Guju boy - Vatsal Shah and we were in the driving seat with 176 for no loss around the 30th over mark. Then our batsmen committed hara kiri and the wickets started falling like nine pins. Yudhveer Singh aka Yodha took 6 crucial wickets for Pakcan. It was disheartening to lose the game from such commanding position, but that’s cricket for you. We would like to thank everyone from RCC family who turned up in good numbers to support the team.
