Rio Grande Rodeo

Please be advised that the rodeo grounds will be closed for a private function starting at 12:00pm Thursday September 3rd until 12:00pm Monday September 7th. Walk in access to the river will be permitted via the low level crossing.

We wish to advise that effective immediately access to the rodeo grounds will be closed to vehicle access and prior notice and request for access is required. We also to advise that access to the grounds and river through Rio Grande Sports grounds will remain open to walk in access at any time. Events over this past weekend have required us to re-introduce this restriction. Safety of users and diligence in COVID restrictions must be our first priority and recent increases in ...larger gatherings and impaired operations of vehicles and off highway vehicles have made for unsafe conditions for families registered for camping in accordance with our access restrictions. Please use common sense and respect the conditions of use to enable us to provide access to and through our facilities.

Please be advised, the Rio Grande Sports grounds will be closed for a private function the morning of September 4th through to September 6th at noon. There will be no access to camping at this time, walk in access to the river will be permitted.

Just a note to advise things seem to have settled down at the rodeo grounds and with this nice weather the association has decided to start opening the gates to the public from 10:00am to 9:00pm. Let’s hope we have no loud parties or donuts and damage and we can leave it open! Enjoy the sun!

Walk-in day use at the rodeo grounds is available with parking in the grass area by the announcements sign at the road. There is a walking path by the new gates installed. Enjoy the sun everyone!
