It’s a Christmas miracle - Anniversary shirts have made it in! . We’re open til 4 if you want to pick one up as a last minute present. If you preordered one as a gift, we’ll also be wrapping and delivering those this afternoon. Big thank you to Superior Screen Printing for printing into the small hours of the morning to get this finished - we’re so happy with how these turned out! . Remember, a portion of every sale will be donated to local XC ski programming, so be sure to pick one up and rep some #tbay history, while supporting young skiers in the city.

As you should be well aware, the region will be entering lockdown after Christmas. We’re working on the details of how things will go this time around and will update you as soon as we can, but here’s some answers to a few FAQs we’ve been getting: . We will be closed Dec. 25-27. We do not want to encourage extra activity at this time, so Boxing Day will have to wait. Our staff deserve a well-earned break; they’ll be spending this weekend with family, and safely enjoying the o...utdoors - we hope you can too! . We will be OPEN for curb-side shopping, with delivery options available beginning December 28th. Unfortunately we will have to reduce our hours, and will update those shortly. One way or another, we’ll be here to serve you during the lockdown. . Our web-store is currently a work in progress; we hope to have most of our winter items online shortly. If you’re looking for a particular product, but don’t see it on the website, shoot us a message as we likely have something for you. We do offer package pricing on skis and boards, so be sure to message us for more info if you’re looking for a full setup and how we can help you find the best option and pricing. . Let us know if you have any further questions or concerns; Facebook and email will be the best way to reach us at this time. We thank everybody for the support this season, and we’re excited to keep supporting you in 2021! See more

2020 was a year. We all had so many plans in mind, and nearly all of them were derailed. Sickness, cancelations, delays, no-shows, shut-downs; we all experienced major disappointment. But we don’t want to focus on that. With all of the downers that this year brought, there were some silver linings, and that’s what we want to look back at. We saw families spending more time together. We saw customers working on getting back in shape. We helped people step out of their comfort ...zone and enjoy the outdoors new ways. Lockdown can feel like a prison, but we were blessed to be first-hand witnesses to so many good changes, and we thank you for letting us help you with those endeavours. Our shop also experienced big changes and new learning curves through Covid. We were inundated with service, yet under-supplied thanks to the global demand for anything to do with the outdoors, working well after closing time to finish tunes and stock shelves. There were sleepless nights searching for parts and placing orders. Every day felt like a scavenger hunt. But our staff stepped up to the plate, and our customers were so understanding of the longer wait times - we’re so appreciative for both. 2020 forced us all to jump new hurdles and explore new avenues, and we want to take that growth into 2021. To every customer who walked through our doors this year, thank you so much for thinking of us, and thank you for your patience through all of these challenges. We hope you’re able to find the bright side of a pretty tough year. It looks like 2021 will bring us similar mountains to tackle, but we are looking forward to facing it head on, and hope we can help you keep rollin’ into the new year. Let’s all look back on the bright spots this year handed us, and take that into the next! Thank you, #tbay!

We want to update you on the status of our commemorative Nordic World Championship 25th Anniversary tshirt and crewneck pre-order. We placed this pre-order in November, far enough in advance that we could be sure to have the shirts made well before Christmas, however due to significant shipping delays they have been held in Toronto for over two weeks, and our last update from the delivery service indicated they are currently still in transit. With each passing moment it is lo...oking more unlikely we will have the shirts ready in time for Christmas, however Superior Screen Printing is on standby and ready to print the shirts as soon as they come. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this delay has caused and we are truly grateful for those who have shown an interest by pre-ordering the shirts and supporting our local ski clubs. We will provide an update on Facebook/Instagram as soon as we have any further information. If by chance they are ready by Christmas Eve we will have them gift-wrapped and ready for pick up, or deliver if you are unable to make it by the store. Again, we apologize for the setback; if you have any questions feel free to shoot us a message. See more

This year marked 25 years since Thunder Bay hosted the 1995 Nordic World Championships, and Rollin’ wants to commemorate the anniversary. . We’re excited to launch a pre-order for our Throwback Crew and Anniversary Tee, each sporting a locally-printed graphic based on logos and designs seen at the event. To further celebrate the rich history of XC-skiing in the region, a portion from the sale of every tee and crew-neck will be donated to the Lappe and Big Thunder Nordic ski c...lubs, to support the growth of the sport locally. . The Anniversary Tee and Throwback Crew can be found on our webstore for preorder, or you can shoot us a message on facebook or instagram to get your name down. . Celebrate the 25th anniversary of Thunder Bay hosting the world, support local ski clubs, and look gloriously 90’s this winter. Have questions about anything bike-related in Thunder Bay? Dan authored a guide for NorthernOntario.travel to help you out! Whether you're on the road, dirt, or snow, here's some helpful hints to get you started. (Some great pics by McKenzie Media and Ilo Photo in there as well!)

Tomorrow morning is going to be a cold, but hopefully epic ride for those signed up for Thunder Bay’s premiere gravel ride! This year’s edition is extra special, as it is in support of a familiar face for many; local skier, cyclist, and all things outside, Phil Brown experienced a life-altering medical event this summer. If you know Phil (or even if you don’t), consider donating to the fund in the link below to help get him on an e-bike and enjoying the outdoors with his family again. We’re stoked to be supporters of this event, supporters of his recovery, and excited to see him rolling next spring!

Been waiting for some more tech to appear in Shuniah? It doesn’t happen on its own; join the BlackSheep tomorrow morning for some building - the weather’s looking great! Reward yourself with the satisfaction of laying down the trails you love riding all year long - more hands make light work, and even if it’s your first time, your presence will be appreciated!

Love Drift? Can’t wait to try it out? We understand the urge, but please avoid the freshly turned dirt; that way we can spend more time working on new trails, rather than repairing brand new ones Also scope Michael ripping his Norco Optic We’ve got a few left in stock and available to demo if you’re looking for a perfect tbay trail rig!

Rollin' Thunder 19.10.2020

You may have heard that bikes are sold out everywhere, and while that is somewhat the case, we still have a number of great options for those looking to enjoy our fantastic trails! We have a handful of gravel/commuters left, a few mid-range hardtails in the Rangefinder and Growler, and still a solid selection of some amazing full suspension rides - including the Pinkbike Mountain Bike of the Year in the Norco Optic. Swing by for a test ride, open Monday-Saturday 11-6; we’d lo...ve to help you find a new rig to rip the rest of the summer on - there’s still months of prime riding left!
