St. John's Rod and Gun Club RSS News Feed Winter conditions December 14, 2020, 3:45 p.m. Well, winter has arrived on the Avalon. As per usual, the club has hired a contractor to clear the club road and parking lots. We will try to update members on snow conditions as we learn of them and will post to the club website.... Keep in mind that parking areas, walkways and especially range floors are frequently icy and are not salted. Also in below freezing temperatures locks can freeze up so a heating device may prove very useful to access the club. A shovel would be useful for accessing club buildings. While winter shooting can be a challenge it can also on a bright sunny day be a great outdoors adventure. So be safe and happy shooting. SJRGC Executive
