With COVID case numbers continuing to rise, let's all stay vigilant. WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP? *Remember: Students who are ill should NOT attend school. *Screen your child(ren) every day using the Ontario School Screening Tool https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/... *If it is recommended that your child be tested, follow the recommendations of our local public health unit about when your child can return to school. * If it is recommended that you have your child tested and you opt not to, your child should isolate at home for 10 days. *Visit https://www.tbdhu.com/illchild for up to date information. By continuing to be socially responsible we increase the chances that our children can continue to attend classes in person. #tbcschools #tbcdsb #stayhealthy #StayHealthyStaySafe

Today we celebrated the 10th anniversary of Roc Your Mocs day here at St. Vincent. Roc Your Mocs was first created by Jessica Jaylyn Atsye to help promote and showcase tribal individuality by wearing moccasins. Roc Your Mocs is a worldwide social media event where you are encouraged to wear your mocs, snap a pic, and hashtag #RockYourMocs. At St. Vincent, all students and staff received a turquoise awareness ribbon in honour of this fun and interactive event. We encourage all people to wear your moccasins with pride, and don’t forget to snap a pic! #rockyourmocs #rockyourmocks2020 #tbcschools #tbccdsb

A HUGE thank you to our community officers. They were here to raise awareness about a variety of forms of bullying with our junior students. They shared netiquette tips to help students interact appropriately in online environments and talked about the consequences of bullying. #tbps Thunder Bay Police Service #tbcdsb #tbcschools #antibullyingweek2020 #bullyingawareness #antibullying #bullyingawareness

As part of anti-bullying week, Mrs. De Leo’s Grade 2/3 class learned that even though our bodies end up whole again it will never be the same after we are hurt by others’ unkind words. The message is that the wounds and scars left behind by ripping words can not ever truly be taken back and can leave long lasting effects even if the person who said them apologizes. #tbcschools #tbcdsb #antibullyingweek2020 #antibullyingcampaign #bullyingprevention
