Hello all, On behalf of everyone at Stingers we want to wish you a happy new year and most importantly, apologize for the delay in communicating with all of you over the last couple months. We sincerely miss our members and wish we could all be training together again. We have been busy trying to figure out the best course of action given the ongoing code red restrictions. We have good news and bad news. I shall start with the bad news. With the recent extension of the lockd...own, it is with all good conscience that we cannot renew our lease at our current location because as it it unknown if we will be open after this new lockdown. We were coming up on renewing our 3-year lease for February, however, we thought there would be better news about lifting the restrictions. Our current location is no longer financially viable. With that said, the good news is we are currently looking for a permanent building in the area (Transcona, Elmwood, East & North Kildonan). We have a lead on a couple of spots but nothing set in stone as of yet. We have to be out of the building buy January 31st. As a result, when we have more info about a new location we will update everyone. We hope all of you are well and look forward to seeing you all when the restrictions are lifted! Good Evening Stingers Family! With the new COVID restrictions starting tomorrow for two weeks, we have to again change how we do things at the Academy. First off we will have 30 minute classes (which we will split) to accommodate having only 8 people in the building at once, the restriction allows us to be at 25% capacity. As well, there will be a 10 minute window between classes to disinfect, we remind members to please get changed and out of the building as soon as possi...ble. We will have two classes of Youth, Adult and only one Competition all half hour long. Please email the preference of your class (First come first serve basis) we will fill up classes accordingly, you will be in that same classes for at least the next two weeks. As well come prepared and ready to jump right into class!! All members including coaches have to wear a mask at all times at the Academy. It is unfortunate, but it is another restriction placed on all. We know that this is a hassle, but this is the only we can stay a float. We will get through this tough times for all. I always need to remind myself that so many people have it so hard. They cant even feed themselves or their families. We are just temporarily inconvenienced. #thistooshallpass We are lucky to have our very own gym. As fighters we #hitthegroundrunning #wearestingers boxing and having a boxing gym is a labour of love, providing opportunities for the up and comers and the athlete’s training to nake their dreams come true.....as coaches and gym owners, we are all just facilitators on the journey.

Good Evening Stingers Family...so we had a visit from a couple of By Law Officers on Saturday and basically said we should not be open and almost gave us a $5000.00 fine thanks to Coach Roland for asking the right questions. He said he would contact us and let us know by today, well I went and got our Occupancy Permit which says we are a Personal/Miscellaneous (Gym) which falls under the Province’s guidelines. Well when I sent it over you him he stated that Manitoba Health will be contacting us and we can show them the permit. So until we know from Manitoba Health we May Be closed. I will update here and our other social media. Coach KB

This means smaller classes, but more of them. Classes will be only 45 minutes long except Saturday, in order for coaches to sanitize as well as giving a buffer too allow next class in.... Nobody other than students are allowed in Academy. After each round of training students will be sanitizing equipment. No showers and only front bathroom will be used. Only 10 students per class and it is a first come first serve basis. We will also be utilizing our Zen Planner Software to its fullest, so students (Parents) will have to download the Zen Planner App. We will posting our schedule tomorrow. Opponent was a Marine had over a 100 bouts, was something new had 16 ounce gloves and really huge headgear. I nominate peeps on Instagram go look!

COVID-19 UPDATE: With the risk of contamination and based on the recommendations from the Government of Manitoba, Stingers Boxing Academy will CLOSE ITS DOORS TEMPORARILY EFFECTIVE TODAY, March 15th, for the safety of our staff, our members and their families. The gym will be closed for the next 2 weeks, possibly 3. Please continue to monitor your social media for updates over the next little while. As a result of the temporary closure, all memberships will be extended based on the duration of the closure.

Heads up Members with this craziness that is happening for your safety and the well being of your family keep a close eye on our page as we may have to follow suit and shut down for a bit, please dont worry as your membership will just be put on hold. COVID-19 precautions If you have a fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose STAY HOME Wipe your gloves with sanitizer by the sink after every workout, wash hands before you leave gym... Wash hand wraps after every workout Community gloves are being thrown out, so you will have to bring your own. We will wipe down with sanitizer every bag, sink knobs, door knobs, toilet flush handle, door handle after last work out.
