The festival we've been waiting for happens tomorrow!

Temple Beth Ora is organizing a Rosh Hashanah fundraiser in lieu of the Rosh Hashanah Brunch this year. This year has been particularly challenging and our hope is that this fundraiser will bring some comfort and light to mothers who have suffered the loss of a pregnancy or child. The funds we raise as a community will be donated to support Alberta Health Services and Covenant Health’s Pregnancy and Infant Loss Program. This program provides support for families that have exp...erienced the loss of a pregnancy/baby through miscarriage, ectopic, medical induction, still birth, or newborn death. It is estimated that at the Lois Hole Hospital for Women alone, there are approximately 5-7 losses per day. Your donation will be used to purchase plantable Heart Memorial Seed Cards that will form part of a memory box that women will receive after a loss. These seeds will grow in loving memory of a child that was lost too soon and will serve as a reminder of the beauty and fragility of life. These seeds also symbolize renewal and the promise of a new year. Our fundraising goal is $360. These funds will help over 360 mothers who are grieving a loss at hospitals city wide.
