I don’t normally post selfies, but I’m about to get real personal ... . But first!! The results are in!!!! And I wanted to update you guys I am stoked to an...nounce @jacqueflemmings @sku.dimaging and @bryan.bayesian as the top three winners of the voting contest I held for my supporters in the Maxim contest. Thank you you guys!! and Thank you to everyone who supported in anyway possible. To anyone who bought ‘Warrior Votes’ and donated to the ‘Homes for Wounded Warriors Foundation’ Thank youu I just wanted to let you know that it went to a really good cause that is changing lives for wounded veterans and their families. . Winning and failing has been the best learning experiences in my life, but I don’t see this as a failure. I was going through a really tough time at the beginning of this competition, and seeing how much you guys have supported me through this has been a huge eye opening experience for me. It sounds crazy, but it actually changed the way I see humanity. . To be honest, I grew up with a lot of haters. I was insanely bullied throughout school, so much so that at times I didn’t have a single friend to back me up, fake rumours were continuously spread about me, I’m not even joking they started an I Hate Marika club, they hacked into my social media accounts, made fun of the way my nose turned up, called me a savage, and threw food at me from the bleachers. I sometimes forget how much that effected me growing up, I know it only made me stronger and work harder in the long run. But I think deep down I always thought everyone hated me for whatever reason, and to be honest, all your support came as a huge surprise to me because of how I am used to being treated by fellow citizens. I didn’t realize that anyone outside of my immediate family actually wanted the best for me until now. And I feel so blessed to have had this realization, specially in this challenging time. . Thank you all for rooting for me, it means more to me than you could ever know. You guys have litterally changed the way I look at the world. My heart is full I am feeling blessed, and forever grateful for this experience. . Love you guys!! See more
