Monthly Mastermind with Member Spotlight: Melody Gilmore Do you ever wonder how some agents thrive immediately in this business? Melody Gilmore is no exception and we will unpack how she achieved instant success and year after year growth inside one of London’s most highly productive group of Realtors. Melody has been living in London since 1983- moving from Forest to work as a Pharmacy Technician at Ealing Pharmacy- which she became the Manager of and worked there for over 25 years. As well as working in Pharmacy- she also taught the Pharmacy Assistant course Part Time for 3 years at FanshaweCollege in the 90’s. Not one to stand still- she also started in Mary Kay Cosmetics in 2002 and became a Director a Year later and was a top Sales person for 15 of those years and held that position until her Real Estate Career. She also teaches FitnessClasses- which she has been doing for over 30 years- and has been at Movati for 22 years. Real Estate was something she had always thought of doing- but being brought up by a single Mother who was a Real Estate Agent in Montreal in the early 70’s and then who started her own Brokerage in the early 80’s after moving to Ontario- she knew what a time commitment it was! However she decided in 2015 it was time so she completed her courses and then joined the Realty Firm on Jan 22/2016 after meeting with Ryan Hodge and hearing about the training and support- and deciding this was the best Brokerage! Always liking a challenge- just for herself- she earned the Rookie of the Year Award in 2016 and has been in the Top 10 yearly since embarking on her Real Estate Journey. Happily married for over 28 years to her Husband Ian - they also have 2 Children- Rachel 25 years old and Riley 27 years old- who both bought their own homes and moved out in the last 2 years, leaving them as empty nesters with their Chocolate Lab Cali and Bubba- their French Cat! Melody enjoys spending time at their cottage- in Forest and socializing with her friends that are still there. And she also plays Pickle Ball as much as she can fit in!
