SNEAK-PEAK Here's a close up of an epoxy filled crack in one of the charcuterie boards that are in the works at The Shop! It has some water sprayed on it right now to make that grain POP! Still have A TON of sanding to do before I apply a food-safe finish and get these boards out the door! Who else is loving that "Caribbean" blue @ecopoxy pigment that was used??? Let me know in the comments what colour of pigment you think I should try using next!

IT WAS TIME FOR AN UPGRADE!!! I've been putting off getting a new drill for The Shop for far too long, but after a recent trip to @homedepotcanada the deal on this new @dewalttough 20v MAX drill was just too good to pass up! Anyone else find themselves running into @homedepot for one or two things and next thing you know your cart is full and you've been wandering around the isles for a couple hours??? Seems to be that way every time I go in... @ The Shop Woodworking

First time working with @ecopoxy was a blast!! Love the Caribbean pigment that was used for this one!

Missed #nationaldogday but this guy is always the best company when working at the shop! Playing fetch and practicing new tricks while trying to get work done may slow down the process a little bit, but how could I say no to that face??

This one's a throwback to a project completed before "The Shop" was set up! Completed as a grade 12 project, it was designed and built as a blanket box, however it's now full of keepsakes from my childhood years. Always love seeing it when I visit home :)

Absolutely loved getting to work with this @kutzall shaping disk! This stump was hollowed out for the cat tree we made for @lalma18 a few weeks back! We started by taking out the bulk of the wood with a chainsaw; making numerous plunge cuts and then breaking out the chunks with an old 2 lb sledgehammer. After we had as much out as we could with that method, we turned to this little guy who made quick work of cleaning up the mess left from the chain! ... The Shop is very exited for another project that will give us an excuse to get our hands on a few of the other disks in the @kutzall lineup!

This one is a throwback to a delivery made just in time for Christmas this year! This project really means a lot to me and so I thought I'd share why with you guys! Growing up as a Canadian kid, I was on skates before I even knew that I had feet! My childhood was spent in hockey arenas, at the ODR (odr - outdoor rink - an abbreviation far too many people seem unfamiliar with) or out in front of the family home, firing endless amounts of hockey pucks into either of the two n...ets that stood proudly on opposing sides of the laneway. I wouldn't change it for the world. The lessons I learned through not only the sport itself, but from parents, coaches and other players along the way, have had an impact on my life that I'll never be able to thank them enough for. This bench was made to stand alongside "The Sul Family Rink of Dreams" and I hadn't seen most of the sticks used in the backrest since I had them out on the ice with me as a kid.
