! Starting next week we are excited to welcome Kettlebells is back on the schedule with Coach Dano & Dave! This all-levels class will teach you technique allowing you to build progressive strength gains. In addition to strength, kettlebells also incorporate control and stability, helping build and maintain healthy joints and tissues.... New to kettlebells? To hop in this class we require students to complete skills school or demonstrate prior experience with weight training. Our coaches are available for 1:1 consultations to help assess, refine technique, or to help you better understand where to begin your strength journey. Reach out to us if you want to learn more! James (he/him) joined our volunteer squad last summer and naturally transitioned into a Studio Support role this winter.His willingness to support our ever changing business model during the pandemic, paired with his passion for movement and FUN! has made him a valuable member of our team. James is a certified personal trainer, basketball coach and owner of Move ...Training. He has big goals of continuing to provide coaching and access to sports like basketball and paddling to communities across Canada. You can catch James on the basketball court swishing 3s, punching through curlers in his canoe, summiting mountains, or dancing to Jimmy Buffet and Tom Jones (cue Carlton Banks). As winter sets in there is a segment of our greater Victoria community who find themselves in need of basic cold/wet weather clothing and supplies to help navigate the challenges of living unhoused. One of our Third Space Community members is doing fantastic work through the Victoria SAFER initiative which provides community outreach to an at risk unhoused population connecting them with safe pharmaceutical alternatives and an entry point to furthe...r care and support. We would love to ask for our community's support to gather any gently used warm/ weather proof clothing and Camping supplies they would like to donate to Victoria SAFER Initiative. Much needed items include: tarps, any kind of wet weather camping gear (tents, mats, sleeping bags, personal rain gear), survival blankets (those foil ones you get after running a race), hand warmer packets, personal items (non-cotton socks, new packages of undies- particularly women's, warm woolies of any sort). We're hanging in there and leaning into agility as new provincial health orders have been updated today. All group classes are temporarily suspended, and open training and virtual classes are being added today! Our wellness clinic remains open with accupuncture, chiropractic, naturopath and councelling. ... So here’s how we are going to move, play and connect with ya’ll in the coming week(s), Times will mirror current schedule and be available from 6:30/7:30am - 7:00pm Monday to Friday and 9:00am - 1:00pm Saturdays 6 people per 45-minute time slot All sessions will be supervised by one of our coaches if you need any support, just ask! : A new week, a new goal Last week's goals may not be this week's goals, and that is perfectly ok. Hitting "Pause" is a mindset practice, one of acceptance, agility and grace for yourself. Take these moments in between the chaos to bring awareness to movement, connection and breath. Wearing a mask during movement practice can be uncomfortable, we feel you, however we know that moving and connecting together is critical for whole-being health now more than ever.... Here are some mindset focuses to help shift your perspective, choose one to set as a goal for your practice this week: aim for heart over heartrate build a new skill detach from competition, outcome and results find gratitude for a body that allows you to move focus on quality of movement over repetition of movement breathe through your nose and practice breath control take breaks whenever you need to and pace yourself connect with someone at class, we're all in this together remember that this won't last forever What goal will you choose to focus on this week?

To our community, After careful review of today’s Covid-19 provincial health orders, we are allowed to remain open at this time and will be implementing new advanced health & safety measures starting tomorrow, November 20, in addition to our current measures. :... classes limited to 8 students. open training limited to 3 people. masks are mandatory in our space this includes coaches & students at times in spaces. the overhead door will be open as necessary for increased ventilation (wear your socks & layer up!). class programming will focus on mobility, movement, skill & strength. 1:1 personal training sessions available with our coaches. We understand that these areunprecedented times and if you are not feeling comfortable with these measures, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to put your pass on hold until you feel safe to move with us again.
