TransCanada Weather 27.10.2020

Strong Squalls Today; Heavy Flurries Reaching Inland -- Our forecast team continues to watch a stiff NW flow that will inundate the typical snow-belts with potentially very potent squalls. The strongest activity will be for Grey-Bruce in Canada, and for the Tug Hill Plateau in the USA.... On the Canadian side, 30cm in the squalls is likely with isolated regions receiving 40-60cm. On the United States' side, up to a whopping 100-150cm is likely! :O For Southern Ontario further inland, many regions can expect a few bursts of flurries ranging from 4-15cm (higher amounts closer to Lake Huron; lower amounts along the 401 and away from the snow-belts). - TCW

[Something to Watch: Isolated 10cm+ for Southern Ontario Saturday Evening] -- Our forecast team continues to monitor a somewhat weak Low that will approach Southern Ontario with initially rain showers, however, as the Low stalls and eventually phases into a secondary Low well east of Ontario, there may be a swath of moderate snowfall depending on the time of day this happens. Right now, guidance suggests HWY 403 from Brantford/Hamilton to the GTA to Toronto to Ajax/Oshawa reg...ion and north to near Barrie could pick up at-least 10cm of snow. Other areas in Extreme SW Ontario would see rain showers only. -- Our team will monitor this phasing closely and issue updates as the time warrants. - TCW #ONStorm
