At my weekly Rotary Club of Vancouver meeting listening to Douglas Porter, Deputy Chief Economist & Managing Director, BMO Capital Markets. He says the average house price in Canada is 60% higher than in the U.S. Wow. Apparently it will be for the U.S. prices to catch up to ours rather than the other way around, and he says U.S. prices are past the bottom and heading up.

I am happy to have received my latest client testimonial, which has also been posted by my clients as a recommendation on LinkedIn. It's great to receive kind words for work well done, and I'm happy to report that last year all my business was either repeat or by referral and it was my best year overall. My clients in this case moved from a "quite nice" 2 bedroom condo in Vancouver's West End with partial water views to an upper level and larger view condo looking to the Nor...th Shore Mountains, Vancouver harbour, and the seaplane take-offs and landings. Thanks, guys! Having worked with several realtors over the past 10 years, we’d have to say that Brian was one of the best. Brian’s knowledge about the Downtown neighbourhoods and the history of many buildings in the area was an invaluable resource for us. Always available when we needed him, and willing to get together on very short notice made our search much easier. We always felt that Brian was there for us, and never felt pressured by Brian or that he had lost interest. Brian definitely went above and beyond in doing research, and following up with any outstanding issues. We have recommended Brian several times since. Grant T. & Eric G. - 2013

For those interested in "green-oriented" films, the National Film Board of Canada has a great green channel, which features many films that can be streamed online and free of charge. Rather than watching a new Hollywood release, may I suggest something educational and potentially life-changing. http://www.nfb.ca/channels/the_green_channel/?ec=en20110420
