November 19th is National Children’s Grief Awareness Day. It’s a day for recognizing and honouring the experiences and emotions of bereaved children. We would be honoured to have your children join me Lucy Basso and Dr. Elena Merenda from @childrenshealingstudio for a children’s grief workshop. Dr. Elena Merenda will guide the children to make a memory jar for their deceased loved one(s) and I will be leading a guided meditation with our angels. At 8:00 pm, please meet us a...nd your children for a balloon release in the parking lot. Each child will attach a note to the balloon to send off to their deceased loved ones. Due to Covid restrictions, this is a child only event, but we encourage you to participate in the balloon release. Unfortunately, the waiting room is closed at this time. Join Dr. Elena Merenda from @childrenshealingstudio for this kids only workshop! During this workshop, Dr. Merenda and the children will discuss the importance of emotional expression. Many times, it is difficult for children to express their emotions, either because they don’t recognize the emotion, they don’t know how to identify and express it, or they are embarrassed to admit they feel a certain way. Because of these reasons, we often see children express their emotions... through behaviours like temper tantrums, crying, clinginess, regression, and aggression. Through the creation of a mandala, children will learn why and how to express their emotions. **Due to Covid, the waiting room is closed.
