A Little About SMC Holistics My name is Alexis and I am the one woman show behind SMC Holistics. I started my company in 2013 after having a lot of troubles wi...th commercial made beauty products, perfumes, and pretty much anything else synthetic and chemical based on most store shelves. Not to mention my migraines that were and are triggered by those products. Everything we put on our skin is absorbed into our bloodstream and I refuse to use chemical based products on myself and my family. Babies & kids absorb much more than adults do and everything in life has a cumulative effect on ours, our children’s health and even our children’s yet to be born kiddos! Prior to starting my company, I based my purchases on information that I got from an online source called EWG SkinDeep.org. They provide a carcinogenic risk rating for basically every commercially made product you can think of and every ingredient in it. I soon became addicted to researching absolutely everything and I couldn’t help but to delve deeper and deeper into researching the ingredients in the products I was born into using. Soon after I was so disgusted by even the healthier products that I was brought up using and had a hard time finding the products I wanted with the ingredients I wanted. Herbalism, holistic living and eating has always been a HUGE interest of mine for as long as I can remember! Back in 2013 to feed my interests even more I took an Aromatherapy course to further my knowledge. This is where my company began being born I spent many mornings, days, sleepless nights, months and so on just researching, researching, researching, creating products, trying products, giving away products, creating labels, a logo, product submitting to health Canada, my website and the list goes on. As tiring as it was I was so excited I was running off adrenaline! And I can’t say enough how worth it, it all was! AND Finally, I could see what I created, products I trusted that weren’t going to harm me or my children and to top it off, ALL the ingredients are in absolutely no need of further testing to see if they are dangerous or not!!! In the beginning of this all, I had only set out to make products for myself and my family, but soon after I began my company completely unintentionally.but sometimes that’s the best way isn’t it?! I live, eat and breath a holistic lifestyle (possibly to more extremes than most, but it makes me HAPPY and I love that I get to share my experiences and creations with YOU!!!

During this pandemic our stress levels have risen. The impact of that on our bodies manifests in many ways. Fatigue, sore muscles, skin breakouts, emotional turbulence. Our studio is a reprieve. A time to break away from our busy minds and allow a few extra moments in the day to breathe and embrace the calm. With covid protocols in place, safety and cleanliness is our priority! We are here to support your wellness.
