Angela has been a stay at home mom for 21 years, raising 3 boys (and a husband;)), has recently gone back to school and is now putting up with me part time during the week Jack is a ambitious teenager looking to get some work experience under his belt and helps package and wrap when big orders come in. Happy Thanksgiving weekend!! This is one of my favourite holidays Although I practice gratitude daily, this weekend always allows me to take even more pause in thinking about and practicing gratitude - and that is my kind of weekend (also throw in the added bonus of family time, friends and lots of good food ) . There is ALWAYS something to be thankful for. In this moment I am so grateful to each and every one of you!! For following along on this WHIPS journey. For buying..., supporting and cheerleading. I sometimes can’t believe (along with many others) that I make candy FOR A LIVING. This wasn’t quite the living I thought I would ever have but I’ve been able to work from home, raise my babies, and create a product that people share with others, treat themselves to or have as part of their traditions in their lives. Hello long lost WHIPS friends! It’s been awhile! I took a big long break from social media - both personally and professionally over the summer. I’m not gonna lie, it was lovely!! Took in a lot of these Alberta mountain views, hung out with my kiddos and boyfriend (aka the hubs), connected with friends and family, sustained a few too many injuries and in general, maintained (although sometimes barely) our sanity in the chaos of the last 6 months. Thankfully I was able to kept the stores stocked, the website orders going, secured a few new big wholesale customers and shipped all over Canada including Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario. The only thing I missed was YOU! Looking forward to connecting with you all again, sharing WHIPS love, new products in the works and much more to come this fall

These last few weeks have been incredible to watch and experience as a small business owner. Seeing businesses completely alter the way they operate, shift all their products online, offering curb side, no contact and delivery options is no small feat but in 2-3 shorts weeks so many have done it. Together, this small business community has also reached out to each other to share resources, support each other, share gifts and giveaways and love towards the community - even d...uring their time of need and chaos. And then experiencing and receiving the love back from you all through orders, support, cheerleading & sharing. THIS is supporting local. THIS is resilience. THIS is sharing love. I hope when we come out the other side, that these things are what we will continue to do. That these are some of the lessons we will learn from. Because at the end of the day, our community, where we live and how we support each other is what matters. Lethbridge, let’s continue to carry on. Keep supporting local. Keep being resilient. Keep adapting. Keep cheerleading. Keep sharing love
