Families who lost loved ones in long-term care homes from COVID-19 can’t believe Premier Doug Ford is ramming through legislation that will make it much harder to seek accountability from negligent facilities.

The Ontario Health Coalition is organizing a province-wide 'Day of Action' today to gain the attention of the Provincial Government and the general public to the inadequate response of the government to the COVID 19 pandemic, with particular attention to the loss of life amongst our most frail members of society in Long Term Care Homes; 1,800 dead in the first wave, and despite six months to be ready, inadequate preparations for the second wave. The Oakville demonstration will take place in front of the 74 Rebecca Street office of Stephen Crawford, the Oakville MPP at 11:00am on Thursday Oct 8th. Survivors of loved ones who have died during the the pandemic in Long Term Care homes will speak. Other media will be present.
