SMALL BUSINESS RELIEF FUND The Canadian Chamber of Commerce has created the Canadian Business Resilience Network campaign to support small businesses from coast to coast. With the support of Salesforce, the campaign will be providing 62 small businesses with $10,000 grants to assist with recovery efforts during these unprecedented times. In total, $620,000 will be granted. The grants can be used for paying salaries, acquiring safety and personal protective equipment for staff..., replenishing materials or paying for the measures required to adapt business models to the economic impacts of COVID-19. The Ontario government has announced the closure of all non-essential businesses effective March 25th. As a listed essential business we will remain open and we are still working hard to get your taxes processed and submitted on your behalf. We have taken the necessary precautions to ensure that our staff and clients stay safe, our front door will continue to remain closed to the public until at least April 6. We are accepting drop offs via post or using our secure file sh...aring server. Also, we have a mail slot in the door next to our main entrance that clients are able to drop off their information. We ask that if you have something to bring into the office that you use the mail slot. We do apologize for any inconvenience. We know that these times are difficult and we will continue to do our part to try to keep everyone safe and healthy. The government has released their economic response plan to help individuals and businesses deal with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. For individuals, the return filing due date has be extended to June 1, 2020. CRA will allow all taxpayers to defer, until after August 31, 2020, the payment of any income tax amounts that become owing on or after today and before September 2020. Filings deadlines for corporate clients have not been extended at this time. However, these ...clients will benefit from the payment extension mentioned above.
