Missing our annual Christmas shenanigans with friends and family this season will be difficult for some of us. I’d like to think that social media helps to connect us but in reality causes loneliness and anxiety for many. Add a global pandemic with self isolation and this could be a very hard season The past two weeks I have experienced isolation in a literal sense adhering to a mandatory 14 day hotel quarantine in Hong Kong. At first I felt a bit apprehensive about spendi...ng all that time in isolation as I’m very much used to keeping busy and being out and about. Also, needing to quarantine in a dirty hotel room with no open windows made it initially very claustrophobic for me. Over time, I got accustomed to it, making sure to build a daily routine of things to do. This included online learning and some exercise, which really helped make my days go by quicker. I’m now on day 12 of 14almost down the home stretch . Other than a few hiccups (like getting my second covid test stolen outside my hotel room door) this temporary inconvenience seemed rather bare-able. Reminding myself that this is but a temporary inconvenience helped put things in proper perspective which was quite helpful for my overall mental well being. Trust me, I could have easily spent my days eating chips, watching mindless TV, and sleeping all day But that would have been a slippery slope for me Now just awaiting for a negative covid test result and I’m free to leave Friday morning . Christmas time is definitely here and we’re excited to have delivered some incredible albums we designed for our clients to enjoy this season. Currently playing around with some fun video clips I made before going into quarantine and hoping to spend some time improving some of my video production skills (practice, practice, practice). We’ve got so many beautiful album and print options that I’d love to find new ways to share those with my clients. Helping nurture lasting memories for generations is definitely at the core of what we do so stay tuned for some more highlights in the new year!

Currently on Day 4 of 14 of my hotel quarantine in Hong Kong. For those who have been following along on my Insta/FB stories you’ve had a glimpse of what my life is like for the coming next week and a half. No open windows (meaning no fresh air) for the next little while. Thankfully my family just dropped off an air purifier for me, which means at least the recycled air that I am breathing in will be slightly better than the air vent pushing out dusty air in my hotel room. Li...ttle wins mean a whole lot when you feel like you’re in solitary confinement I am doing well otherwise...staying connected with friends online has been a tremendous help and I brought lots of creative things to occupy my time. Welcome November. We are into full album and print orders mode at the moment. Wrapping things up before heading off at the end of the month. If you haven’t provided me with your order for your album or prints now is the time to do so as our holiday cut off is earlier than usual this year since I will be out of town for most of December. Dreaming of a time when we can once again travel to the city of lights and do more photoshoots there. Currently working on getting their album designed and shipped off for printing.
