For fun isolation games I will be posting videos of what I’m doing with my dogs! Playing games on your knees is a great way to exercise your dog in a small space! Swapping between food and toys is really important when you start variable reinforcement. I use food when I want correct head placements (for heeling and fitness exercise) and toys to build excitement (for faster recalls and agility). Click on the link!

Especially during this time it is important to realize your dog must be under your control. Even in off leash areas we assume dogs will recall...or be leashed. Yesterday I was out walking the dogs and was ambushed by an off leash lab puppy and it’s little partner in crime. It was running around with a reactive little chi-cross. So, between the puppy wanting to play and the little dog wanting to attack my pups...and the fact that the ground was super icy, it was a situation. T...he lady was trying to stay two metres away and get her dogs under control. In the end all was well. My two dogs got lots of treats for staying calm and hers eventually gave up. However, it was not cool I should mention that I’m at a ski resort at a friend’s condo near my place where it is easy to socially distance. I should also mention it is my birthday weekend, so I’m here with one local friend (the only friend in my pod). We have been super careful and are wearing masks when in the village, outside distancing like everyone else around the mountain. Most people are considerate and just wave from across the road. Fellow masked dog lovers ask if they can say hello...this is the new normal. The two metres applies to dogs as well us

Great info...my dogs love the snow, but it gets to be -20 up here...so it is good to keep track of how cold is too cold and for how long

Great Covid protocols at the Big White village!We had on our PPT and each group has their own gondola here. ...the dogs of course didn’t have to mask up. Training new skills to my puppies and to my old dog Miko
