From today's issue of the Prince Edward Island provincial daily newspaper, The Guardian... CHEERS: To the Kings Playhouse, Victoria Playhouse and The Guild for teaming up with Campbell Webster Entertainment to produce Christmas concerts that will entertain Islanders from Nov. 26 to Dec. 20. It has been a challenging year for the theatre business, as it has for so many others. Public health guidelines allow no more than 50 people in the audience. All three theatres participating in these shows will adhere to those guidelines. But, it’s more than that. This is about coming together and feeling the spirit of the Christmas season in what has been the toughest year many of us have experienced in our lifetimes. It just goes to show, through collaborative efforts, many things are still possible.

From the upcoming concert run... Christmas in the Air An Island Christmas Concert, Through and Through... Christmas in the Air is a concert presentation of some of the Island’s and the region’s most beautiful Christmas songs. It will be produced by Campbell Webster Entertainment and presented by The Guild and run from November 26th to December 20th, with performances at The Guild, King's Playhouse, and the Victoria Playhouse during the run. It will use the same personnel that created The Songs of Anne & Gilbert, The Musical, and be in the same style. It features eleven of the Island’s finest singers and musicians, performing beautiful new arrangements of Christmas songs by Lennie Gallant, Rita MacNeil, Nancy White, David Myles, Suzie Wilde, and Heather Rankin. Of note is that these are lesser known songs, yet strikingly powerful. The treat to the audience will be the discovery of new Christmas songs, by celebrated artists. Lisa’s long distinguished career includes being Rita MacNeil’s Musical Director for her national television show, and countless other major artists and musicals across North America. Tickets go on sale in late October at each venue.

From the 2020 Guild Presentation of The Songs of Anne & Gilbert, The Musical. This is another song written by Nancy White for Anne & Gilbert, The Musical, which has never been performed as part of the play. There are many songs that the writers wrote for the play, that were not included in the final script.... The reasons for not including songs in the final script are various, including that they don't fit the plot, limiting the length of show, or character development. After fifteen years, Nick Whelan, an original cast member of the World Premiere of Anne & Gilbert, The Musical, returns to perform the show at the theatre where it debuted: Prince Edward Island's Victoria Playhouse. Come see The Songs of Anne & Gilbert, The Musical. ... This weekend and next at the Victoria Playhouse. (Saturday and Sunday evenings at 7:30pm). Big news! Anne & Gilbert returns to the stage in Victoria and The Landmark Oyster House will be open for business! That's right, friends!
