Recently we've had some feedback from one of our customers suggesting their dissatisfaction with our COVID protocols and changes to our pricing this year for the Fun Farm Experience. We are disheartened to read of their disappointment but wanted to take this opportunity to share with all of you what we have done this year to make our business safe for guests as well as our staff. It has been a challenging time for many businesses and families in 2020, we are so fortunate to b...e able to continue to offer an experience that our customers have come to love over the last 50 years. 1. New Website, Online Payment System, and Bookings: As you have likely seen we have a brand new shiny site that allows us to take contactless payments, manage the flow of people at the farm, and provide the most up to date information about our COVID protocols. https://www.barrettstreefarm.ca/blogs/news/covid-19-policies This site also includes a full listing of all the activities available within the Fun Farm Experience so that people considering the experience know exactly what they can expect before booking. https://www.barrettstreefarm.ca//ne/family-farm-experience 2. COVID Safe Checkout: We constructed two new kiosks with safety protection for our workers who are interacting with customers checking out and paying for their trees and items. We also ran power to the grove for the first time to allow people to make cashless payments, further minimizing contact risk. 3. Physical Distancing & Attendance Counts: We've taken our health units recommendation seriously on the need for physical distancing which has impacted the way we offer wagon rides. In addition to the second wagon we have constructed, we are now running wagon rides more frequently, with smaller groups to ensure that everyone can enjoy the festivities and still be safe. Finally, we recognize that the cost for entry to the Fun Farm experience may be prohibitive for some families. We've opened the experience during the week at a 50% cost to make this fun holiday tradition more accessible. For those who prefer not to enter the Fun Farm zone at a cost, we are still offering the same great U-Cut tree and market option. We hope that those of you who are considering visiting us for the first time or who come every year can understand that we have and will continue to work hard to provide lifelong holiday memories at a price that is fair. We will continue to follow the recommendations of our health unit and keep everyone updated on any changes. With families coming from near and far to experience the magic of Barrett's Christmas Tree Farm, we will keep the health and well-being of all of our customers at the forefront of our decisions. We're excited to announce our new website that has just launched! Browse all the holiday goods we have to offer and see up to date information about the farm. In response to COVID-19, we have separated the U-Cut trees from the Family Fun Farm which has paid admission. On our site you can pre-book your tickets just for entry into the Family Fun Farm area. No need to pre-book for cutting a tree, but you can pre-pay for your tree and Christmas decorations to speed up the checkout process.
