In honour of Rememberance Day this coming week, here are some virtual ways to honour those who sacrificed for our freedom. The story about Bohdan Panchuk is made even more meaningful by the fact that his daughter is one of our parishioners #lestweforget2020
During November CYMK and Holy Trinity Cathedral will be partnering with the community organization 1JustCity to help feed the hungry and those experiencing homelessness in Winnipeg. Our goal is to prepare 100 bag lunches and give out 100 pairs of socks. If you are able to make a donation towards the purchase of food items or socks, here are a few options: leave your donation in the basket on the table marked for this project at the front of the church mail a cheque mark...ed Socks and Sandwich Outreach to 1175 Main St., Winnipeg, MB R2W 3S4 via e-transfer to "Holy Trinity Ukr Orthodox Cathedral" using the email: [email protected] and indicating that your donation is for Socks and Sandwiches. Please share the password via email and provide your address if you are not a member or are a new donor. We are also accepting donations of new, warm socks. These can also be left in the bin under the table at the front of the church or dropped off at 323 Knowles Avenue in North Kildonan or 326 Kingston Crescent in St. Vital. If you are unable to make a donation, please pray for the success of this project.
