London Animal Care Centre 03.05.2021

ADOPTED!!! Hullo in there...... I have been waiting for too many days to go home!! That’s what I want to say first!! Ok, so now I will list all of the reasons why I should be adopted right now, this very day and then you will aaalllll share me with everybody you know so the most amazing people in the world will come to adopt me.... First, I AM the most handsomest of all but I don’t have to tell you that.... it’s all right here in my picture ... Second, I was loved I was so loved that my family took special time to show me how to sit, shake a paw, watch, listen, learn.... I have a gigantic Shepherd brain and I have learned to be the best dog ever.... but this big Shepherd brain is also what makes it all so confusing for me. I did everything I was supposed to do and I did it to please my family so why am I here? Why didn’t they come to get me? So many questions and so much confusion in my big brain.... questions that will never have answers so I have to retrain my brain and accept that I must find new loves to please and share my goodness with. It’s in my nature to be a happy, jolly, loving boy. Love love love..... it’s everything to me. It makes me happy to see people happy and when I learn what makes you smile and what makes your heart warm.... I do it over and over and over again..... I’m sharp that way and I want nothing more than to please the people who love me. I have one little confession though ..... sometimes I get persnickety with my toys .... it’s not a habit but I do test it out sometimes so I will need a family who understands my Shepherd brain you mustn’t let me do these things ..... I’m a big beautiful boy that loves people, dogs and every bit of goodness that the universe blesses me with but right now my heart is hurting big time so if you could help a fella out and get the word around that I’m here and need a family.... well that would be great...... My name is Lobo, I might be a 3ish year old Shepherd mix and I want to go home now..... Call 519-685-1330 to book an meet and greet with Lobo.....

UPDATE!!! It’s me, Joshua.... so it turns out there really is somebody for everybody. I really brought the difficulty of finding a mama on myself..... I have a few persnickety traits but it would seem that my new mama doesn’t really mind and she was able to look past them to see my very gleamy personality I’m an older boy set in my ways and I’m forever grateful that you all shared me enough times that it made it to a most wonderful lady who took one look and said she kn...ew I was for her. My new mama is a bit camera shy so I agreed to take the photo on my own but trust me when I say that she IS the most beautiful person I have ever seen in my life ..... See more

ADOPTED!!! So it seems that the old saying ‘the squeaky wheel gets the oil’ rings true because this beautiful boy, Joshua, is still sitting patiently waiting at the shelter for a family. He has watched cats come to the adoption room and become adopted the same day or the next day and here he is..... still waiting . We’re guessing it’s because he’s a shy guy and while the other cats are putting on a talent show for potential adopters entering the room, he’s just sitting bac...k watching it all go down and before he can count all of his toes..... he sees the other cats being chosen . Joshua is about 12 years old and very laid back but underneath.... there is a sparkling personality that just needs a little time to shine through, he really doesn’t have the ability to steal the show from anyone..... I guess you could say.... he’s thoughtful and for this reason, we are shining a little spotlight on Joshua tonight and we will tell you that he’s spectacular, has a lot of life left to live and love to give. He sweet, chill, loving and just had his teeth cleaned so has minty clean breath we feel that’s an attractive quality . If you think you have some room in your life for cat in need then please give him a little chance to prove himself when you visit. Try to walk past the cat in the tutu putting on a tap show and give Joshua a few minutes See more

~Sharing Some Good Feels Because Stuff Is Just Heavy For All Lately enjoy the love and smiles~ Just sharing a few adoption photos from over the years A little proof that yes, dogs do smile and when they smile big for staff upon meeting a family, that’s how we know ‘it’s the one’.... No matter how much we love them up and comfort them at the shelter, a pet always feels the loss of a family and always knows when one has come to take them home. (All names posted were original shelter names)

~Donut And Danish Update~ Mom has been keeping us updated on the progress of these two special dogs who won over thousands of Facebook viewers from all over Canada so an update is in order. Mama is cooking all of their food special just for them and Donut has been steadily working on his figure and has no problem doing the stairs now . Danish is the love bug of the duo and sharing it up with this very special family.... The more comfortable that these two get it’s clear that they march to the beat of their own drum and are keeping their new family entertained. No shortage of love in this family

Compassion Alert! Teamwork helps a frightened coyote out of a very tight squeeze. ... Thank you and a heartfelt shoutout to attending Officer Patience of the London Animal Care Centre & to our Canid Response Team rep, Wendy Brown for ensuring a safe injury-free passage to freedom, for this little song dog. We are ever grateful for the partnership with the fine folks at LACC. Everybody needs love four legs, two legs.... whatever... we’ve got lots to give to all kinds of animals who decide to wander and hopefully they wander their way to us so we can safely send them home or adopt them to new loving homes or sanctuaries where they can live comfortably Meet Cluck Norris This 4 month old rooster is heading to Dara Farm Sanctuary in Wheatley where he’ll be joining a little piggy named Petunia who also recently decided to wander and pay the shelter a visit

Update Coming Soon And Your Hearts Will Be Overjoyed!!!

London Animal Care Centre 05.10.2020

ADOPTED!!! (check our page for the update). ~We Know That Most Of Our Posts Ask For Extra Special Shares But It Seems That It’s The Extra Special Who Fall Into Our arms. Our First Facebook Bonded Pair~ We’re Danish(girl) and Donut(boy)..... we aren’t sure how many birthdays we’ve each had but we think it’s something like 6,7 or maybe 8? We’re looking for a family who will love us together..... ... It was around a week ago that we were dropped off on a street that we didn’t really know.... we were told to stay put and so we did...... while we watched him walk away..... we felt a little confused and mixed up but we aren’t very defiant so we just stayed... It was only about a minute or so before a stranger came over and told us to sit tight and wait for help.... we realllllly had no clue what was happening but as I said, we’re too timid to make trouble so we did as we were told as the nice stranger called for help and explained what they saw happen to us. After a little bit, somebody came to pick us up and brought us to a place called shelter.... we ate, roamed in the yard for a bit then went to bed and waited to see what was next. One day turned into the next and nobody came to bring us home so we were told it was time to ask Facebook people to find us a new one we’re really very shy so none of this is easy. We suppose that we should do our best to tell you about ourselves but we don’t know how to really do that. It’s like..... maybe best to meet us in person but you can kind of expect us to shy away and Danish might even hide in a corner at first.... I might too, I’m not sure it’s like we want to feel the goodness oyf kind folks but we need a minute to be sure ..... a gentle hand is what we do best with.... I’m the one on the right in the photo, Donut..... I’m shaped like a piggy and I need a little help with that .... my weight is not good for me I know this....I’m a nice gentle boy and I truly love my Danish.....and I mean my pal not the dessert... she’s a good girl, she mostly hides behind me until she feels safe and I’m good with that..... So I guess that’s some of our story..... if maybe you could share it with the folks you know that would help a lot Thanks, D & D ~one adoption fee will be applied~ ~Adoptions are open Sundays from 1-3:30 Monday-Friday from 1-7:30 and Saturdays from 9-3:30 519-685-1330~..

YAAAAY THE UPDATE TO MEND THE HEARTS OF THIS DUO’s FOLLOWING!!! DANISH AND DONUT ARE HOME!!!! We received many calls, visits and applications from amazing beautiful people for this special duo but it was these two special little angels who brought Danish and Donut out of their timid shells and the choice was clear these four sweet innocent kindred spirits belong together. Donut and Danish’s reaction to these boys took us by surprise and we are so elated to see that ...these special dogs really did pick their family. They went from being disconnected from the world around them to smiling and wagging their tails in the presence of these two boys. What a beautiful experience and gift these parents have given their sweet boys. We are over the moon and we were so excited to bring you all the good news!!! Thank you for the thousands of shares and all of the love you sent to our original post because it brought these amazing beings together

UPDATE!!! Hello, I was just visiting you a few hours ago to ask if you could bring me a family to go home with and much to my surprise, you did and so quickly!!! This Facebook sharing really works fast You shared me so much that my picture showed up in thousands of homes in an afternoon!!! Who knew it was that easy . So this is me, Marigold, with my new family. My new mom and dad were wanting to adopt a kitty for their daughters so they thought it would be a good ide...a to visit with me and my little sister to be loved me as soon as we met she is gentle with me and oh so happy to be with me and my 13 year old sister loves me just as much..... it’s all I wanted and now I have it. I’m on the way home with my new loves..... a new home a new life ..... A Fun Fact!!! Did you know that just one share can expose a homeless pet to an average of 300 potential adopters? 170 shares in just a few hours exposed Marigold to almost 10 thousand Facebook newsfeeds and that’s why she is headed home so quickly..... so easy to change a homeless pet’s world with just a share thank you.

ADOPTED!!!~Marigold Approximately 10yr Old Declawed Female.~ I’m hoping you can assist an old girl and maybe send me a family or a mom or a dad.... somebody who will be extra careful to keep me safely indoors away from all the things that could hurt me... I’m sweet and kind and I’m no trouble at all. I’m hoping for a loving peaceful home where I can relax and chill and enjoy the company of my loved ones. I’m easy to please and I love to help create a warm calming feel to my surroundings .... life should be like that don’t you think so? Not much else to say about myself, I’m not complicated so if you think your world would be a good fit for mine then I think we should meet I’ve got a lot of love to give and you can never have too much of that.... ~Adoptions are open Sundays from 1-3:30 Monday-Friday from 1-7:30 and Saturdays from 9-3:30 and my number is 519-685-1330~

YAY!!!!! UPDATE FOR OUR LITTLE ORPHAN ANDY His Daddy Definitely Sent This Family To take Home His Boy It’s me, Andy from last night. I’m not sure if you read my note but in case you didn’t, I was here because my daddy crossed the rainbow bridge a few days ago and I had no kin to take me in..... I came here to ask for a new family and you all shared me about and helped lead my new mama to me. Mama and my new sister drove here from Toronto to make it in time for adoptio...ns to open. They were so excited to bring me home that they got up early, jumped in the car and drove 2 hours to get me. I loved them immediately..... so much that I couldn’t decide who’s arms I wanted to be in most I’m going home to another senior kitty whose mama crossed the rainbow bridge and a senior dog who wears a diaper..... pretty clear mama is a pretty dedicated person with a giant heart. I guess I don’t really know where to start.... right now I’m still just trying to figure out how to live without my dad it’s all happening so fast that I haven’t thought much about what I’m supposed to do next. ... I came to shelter after dad died because we didn’t have any kin to take me in I’m not feeling a whole lot right now other than emptiness.... I’m just feeling like my heart is too heavy for my insides. I know that I have to do this and I know it will get easier with time so I suppose I should ask for a new mom or dad who have a lot of love in them for me.... my caretakers have said that’s what I will need.... I’m really not any trouble, I’m a sweet old man just looking to live out my life peacefully with somebody who might understand what I’m feeling. I’m sensitive and kind and have a lot of love to offer in return. I’m feeling sort of heavy so I think that’s all I’d like to say for now..... ~Lovable Jerk Update From Dad~ Sassafras likes keeping a close eye on dad never farther than arms length away and when he isn’t sleeping, he likes to hold dad’s hand while he’s working at the computer.... seems he’s quite appreciative of his new life and perhaps ..... a little possessive ? And an endless supply of noses kisses for dad .. So much for his tough guy act at the shelter

UPDATE!!! ~THE LOVABLE JERK HAS LEFT THE BUILDING~ SO!!! To all of you who doubted that somebody would coming running to adopt me just cuz I’m a jerk....? I have a few choice words for you .... but I’m in a good mood right now so I’ll be a gentleman and just say.... you were ooooohhhh ssooooo wrong This here is me going home to start my new life. I was looking for a roommate cuz I don’t need no dad but then this dude walked in..... I sized him up for a solid 13 seconds an...d decided that he’s too good to be a roommate.... this guy’s family material....he’s a keeper.... I let him adopt me and now he’s dad! He’s just too good so I’m not gonna be a jerk to him.... I might boss him sometimes but not much....I will definitely be a jerk to his family and friends though that’s for sure but not to dad I’m writing this from home and I can tell you, THIS IS HOME!!! Dad has made me feel right comfy cozy like this has been home forever. I love it already Love Sassafras

London Animal Care Centre 27.06.2020

ADOPTED!!!~The Lovable Jerk~ Yeah so.... maybe I am a jerk but I don’t pretend to be somethin I’m not....it’s who I am, take me as I am. My name’s Sassafras, I’m a boy aaand I’m like 4, 5 aaah I don’t know how old I am, does it matter?! Important thing is, I’m lookin for a home .... preferably my own but if I have to share it.... I will .... given the price of houses right now I’m probably gonna need a roommate anyway.... d’ya know anybody ??... My roommate will have to understand who the boss is..... ME.... always me, no negotiating. I do things in my own time and on my own terms. Sometimes I want company and I’ll let you know when..... otherwise steer clear, I’m not afraid to snark at you to put you in your place but no worries, I don’t bite. That being said, I also like having my coat brushed softly with a gentle hand BUT NOT TOO MUCH... or you’ll make me mad I like watching TV with a pal but I choose what we watch. I enjoy food so my roommate WILL feed me on demand. I don’t like cats, I don’t like dogs, there is no tooth fairy or Easter bunny....... so kids are probably a no too ..... like I said, I’m a jerk. On a different note, I’m great company and fabulous entertaiment. My care takers at the shelter take me out of my kennel and let me roam just to see what I find to do in a day..... they love me around here and don’t let them tell you otherwise... that’s why they call me the lovable jerk.... hey, I am what I am and I need a home.... think you can help a guy out? ~Adoptions are open Sundays from 1-3:30 Monday-Friday from 1-7:30 and Saturdays from 9-3:30 and my number is 519-685-1330~
