Gathering at the Old Post today. Exploring the process of having Island Lake Grand Council and Grand Chief. People from all four Island Lake communities are invited. Red Sucker Lake First Nation will have 5 charters of Beaver float plane for their people, Garden Hill First Nation and Wassagamach First Nation have also indicated they will bring their elders, youth and others. For us, a barge will leave at approximately 10am from north end enroute Old Post. We invite elders, youth, resource personnel, and others who would like to go. The barge will head back to STPFN around 5pm. If you are going even though they will be provided please bring a chair (lawn chair), snacks and a beverage. We will see at 10am this morning at the Barge Dock.
